Cambridge Healthtech Institute’s 19th Annual

Executive Project, Program & Portfolio Management Summit

Optimize Portfolio Insights, Prioritization, and Decision-Making for Pharma and Biotech

September 30–October 1, 2025

Cambridge Healthtech Institute’s and the BioPharma Strategy Series’ Executive Project, Program & Portfolio Management Summit (EP3M) attracts senior R&D executives from pharma and biotech who share the latest technologies, frameworks, and best practices to drive success in project, program, and portfolio management, as well as decision analysis, forecasting, and portfolio prioritization. The EP3M Summit, formerly part of Executive Decision Making, will highlight strategies to leverage data and analytics, including new and emerging AI uses to enhance decision-making in a rapidly evolving landscape.

We are looking for new case studies from the pharma and biotech community—large, small, and midsize portfolios—mature and growing portfolios, with varying approaches and systems for project, program, and portfolio management, governance, and prioritization. Co-presentations featuring speakers from different departments involved in a project or process are encouraged. Share your experience and expertise with this enthusiastic community and come away with new lessons of your own and an expanded network of PPM colleagues.

Coverage will include, but is not limited to:

  • Portfolio and project prioritization methodologies
  • Technologies and processes being leveraged for improved decision-making
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning, and predictive analytics to inform project and portfolio decisions
  • Data collection in decision-making (what data are being collected/used, and how)
  • Determining the right mix of therapeutic areas
  • Project, program, and portfolio management strategies for small/growing biopharma
  • Assessing your portfolio risk and return under multiple future scenario predictions
  • Decision analytics and structured decision-making
  • Governance and risk management
  • Linking execution to corporate strategy

The deadline for priority consideration is March 21, 2025.

All proposals are subject to review by session chairpersons and/or the Advisory Committee to ensure the overall quality of the conference program. Additionally, as per Cambridge Healthtech Institute’s policy, a select number of vendors and consultants who provide products and services will be offered opportunities for podium presentation slots based on a variety of Corporate Sponsorships.
